If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.
If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.
Travel on the Leighton Buzzard Railway & take a journey into the vanished world of the English light railway - sharp curves, steep gradients, level crossings & unique roadside running. Opened in 1919 to serve the local sand industry, the railway has carried a steam passenger service since 1968. It now has the largest collection of 2ft (610mm) gauge locomotives in Britain, incl. steam engines from Europe, Africa & India. On certain days we recreate a 1920s sand train, using a petrol locomotive built for war service. In contrast, some passenger trains are hauled by our 1999-built diesel, Britain's newest narrow-gauge locomotive. Trains start at Page's Park station, on the A4146 to Hemel Hempstead. Free car park, plus ticket office, souvenir shop, buffet & toilets incl. baby-changing & wheelchair facilities. Large public park alongside with children's play area. Customers with special mobility needs have priority parking spaces & wheelchair users travel in comfort with the rest of their party, in our specially convertible coach. Check our website for details of operating days, timetables & fares, plus extensive programme of special events & latest news. Don't forget we run a special seasonal train service around Christmas.
